DARE 2B ARE PROUD TO SUPPORT SNOW CAMP
Here at Dare 2b, we live and breathe ski and all manner of snow and winter sports! That's why we are proud to partner with Snow Camp! If you haven't of Snow Camp before, let us tell you all about them.
They are a programme ran by the national youth charity Switch180. Their main aim is to work with kids who otherwise may not have the opportunity to take part in snowsports. The idea of Snow Camp came from the founder, Dan Charlish, who was working as a youth worker at the time. He over heard his group talking about how playing snowsport video games was the closest they might ever come to getting onto the slopes, and with that, the idea for Snow Camp was born! Why should inner city kids not get the chance to experience the mountain environment?
Since 2007, Snow Camp has grown from strength to strength. Moving from residential stays across Europe to a fully fledged training academy that works across indoor snow centres across the UK. They also provide their kids with lifelong skills, training, qualifications and volunteering opportunities.
During their time with Snow Camp, volunteers like Lamar (who's in the video below) go through training which allows them to get incredibly involved with a range of snowsports. At the end of their training they're presented with their blue Dare 2b jacket which signifies all of the hard work and effort that have put into their time at Snow Camp.
